Itinerary:

Day 01
Beijing/ Xiningm/ Kumbum(LD)
Flight from Beijing to Xining, arrive in capital Xining of Qinghai Province. The guide will take you to the hotel. Visit Kumbum Monastery, one of the largest and main Gelugpa institutions.

Day 02
Riyue Mountain/ Daoqihe/ Kokonor Lake/ Gold-silver prairie(BLD)
In the morning drive across Ri Yue Shan (Sun Moon Mountain) to Kokonor Lake the largest salt water Lake. Then drive to the western shore of Qinghai Lake (Bird Island), where attracts hundreds of thousands of migratory birds. On the way, we can visit Daoqinghe and Gold-silver prairie. Then return to Xining. Overnight in Xining.

Day 03
Xining/ Lhasa(BLD)
Flght from Xiniing to Lhasa, Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest in the afternoon. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day04
Lhasa (BLD)
Visit Lhasa’s cardinal landmark – Potala Palace, a structure of massive portions. Then drive to the most revered religious structure in Tibet – Jokhang Temple, On the way visit the quadrangle of streets surrounding the Jokhang is the Barkhor– Lhasa’s most interesting pilgrimage circuit. This area of the Old Town is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans. Overnight in Lhasa. .

Day05
Lhasa/ Drepunhg/Sera(BLD)
After breakfast visit Drepung which is about 8km west of central Lhasa, once world’s largest monastery with about 10,000 monks. Visit another Gelugpa monastery, Sera. Sera may not be as grandiose as Drepung, but is more serene surrounded by many small temples. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day06
Lhasa / Tsedang/Yumbulakang /Trundruk monastery (BLD)
Morning drive to Tsedang, located by Yarlung Valley, it is reputed as "the cradle of Tibetan Civilization. Visit Yumbulakang Palace and Trundruk Monastery. Overnight at Tsedang.

Day07
Tsedang / Samye Monastery(BLD)
Today ferry Yaluzangpu River Samya Monastery which is the first one built in the 7th century and has three buildings with different styles (Tibetan Hans and India), Overnight at Tsedang.

Day08
Tsedang / Yamdrok Lake / Shigatse (BLD)
Up to Kambala pass which is 4794m high, you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso there. It is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to Chushul, along Nepal friendship way to Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas in the afternoon. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day09
Shigatse/ Lhatse / New Tinggri (BLD)
Early morning start driving to Rongphu via Shegar, some parts of the road is with constructions. On the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute, and from the pass you will see the Himalaya mountain ranges in a clear day. Rongphu is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongphu to E.B.C, it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage ( 30RMB/per person,round-trip). Overnight at New Tingri

Day10
Tingri/ Rongphu/ Shigatse (BLD)
If you are lucky enough, you can see the sunrise at E.B.C.About noon time, start driving back to Shigatse. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day11
Shigatse / Gyantse / Lhasa (BLD)
After breakfast, drive to Gyantse, visit the famous stupa Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along the friendship way. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day12
Lhasa airport dropping off (B)
Morning Airport dropping off,ending the happy trip.
